چکیده
Pterocarpus santalinus is considered among the finest luxury woods in world and has potential commercial medicinal value. Due to its rich hue high price, often been substituted mislabeled with other of lower economic To maintain order timber market interests consumers, it necessary establish a fast reliable method for species identification. In this study, wood samples nine commonly used counterfeiting were analyzed by visible light/near-infrared (Vis/NIR) hyperspectral imaging (HSI). The spectral data preprocessed different algorithms. Principal component analysis (PCA) was applied ranges: 400~2500 nm, 400~800 800~2500 nm. Partial least squares discriminant (PLS-DA) square support vector machine (SVM) modeling methods performed effective discrimination. best classification model SVM combined normalization preprocessing whole range (400~2500 nm), prediction accuracy higher than 99.8%. results suggest that use Vis/NIR-HSI combination chemometric approaches can be as an tool discrimination santalinus.

Hyperspectral optical imaging of two different species of lepidoptera
In this article, we report a hyperspectral optical imaging application for measurement of the reflectance spectra of photonic structures that produce structural colors with high spatial resolution. The measurement of the spectral reflectance function is exemplified in the butterfly wings of two different species of Lepidoptera: the blue iridescence reflected by the nymphalid Morpho didius and t...

متن کاملTwo New Potential Barcodes to Discriminate Dalbergia Species
DNA barcoding enables precise identification of species from analysis of unique DNA sequence of a target gene. The present study was undertaken to develop barcodes for different species of the genus Dalbergia, an economically important timber plant and is widely distributed in the tropics. Ten Dalbergia species selected from the Western Ghats of India were evaluated using three regions in the p...
متن کاملEstimating Nitrogen and Acid Detergent Fiber Contents of Grass Species using Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS)
Chemical assessments of forage clearly determine the forage quality; however, traditional methods of analysis are somehow time consuming, costly, and technically demanding. Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) has been reported as a method for evaluating chemical composition of agriculture products, food, and forage and has several advantages over chemical analyses such as conducting c...
متن کاملIdentification of Leishmania species using monoclonal antibodies in Isfahan
Background: Isfahan is one of the major foci of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Iran. According to the epidemiological studies, both urban and rural forms have been reported in Isfahan. Accurate identification and characterization of Leishmania is essential for the control of the disease. Several different molecular techniques for Leishmania identification are developed including use of monoclonal a...
